Chaskaman beautiful nature’s delight, Raj (one of our bike buddy) whose native place is Wada near chaskaman dam suggested to have bike ride to dam area. It is constructed on Bhima river very important and one of the longest river in Maharashtra. Its near the village called Bibi currently its below the backwater. The Dam is located at a remote place within a huge empty landscape in the valley of the River Bhima. From pune its around 70 KM and route to chaskaman is a treat to your eyes and mind while driving between Rajgurunagar and Bhimashankar. The backwaters is surrounded by mountains on both sides. The view from those mountains will give you a heavenly feeling.
We started from Sangvi Pune at around 6.30 AM by Pune – Nashik highway, Rohan joined us at Bhosari. First we visited Wada village (native place of Raj) had misal pav (We are misal pav lovers) as breakfast and moved towards dam area. We have to come back around 3-4 km. There is a bridge and the view from it is really cool and beautiful, lots of greenery. You can even plan one day family trip. We enjoyed the place and clicked awesome photographs. Once you visit and explore the beauty of nature am sure you will visit it again and again.
Any one who wish to visit should consider the time between September – December after monsoon. As you will be seeing lots of greenery and Dam at its full capacity.
